Terror on Crocodile Island
Now Clive must swim from the sinking boat and to join the others on the sandbank. Terrified, he makes it. When, night descends the four huddle together and use an oar to attack any approaching predators.
Alistair, out in the bush, can hear the hyenas and lions calling. He doesn't stand a chance if they find him. Out of the darkness looms a massive buffalo. These animals are normally very dangerous, but this one settles down about 10 yards away from Alistair, like a kind of sentry. It keeps Alistair's spirits up through the night. But, when dawn breaks, Alistair is unconscious. He comes round when army ants sting him awake. Paradoxically, they could have saved his life.
The group in the river are rescued in the morning after spending 20 hours in the water. They are all okay and glad to be alive. Alistair is rescued 24 hours after the croc attack. Doctors were able to save his arm.
Alistair and Arthur still go fishing in Africa. Faye enjoys her time in the African bush, but doesn't venture onto the water if she can help it!
