A majority of Britons think the government's treatment of ex-service personnel is "disgraceful", says survey commissioned by Andy McNab.
A majority of Britons think that the government's treatment of ex-service personnel is "disgraceful".
That's the findings of a new survey, commissioned and paid for by former SAS soldier and author Andy McNab.
Almost half of those questioned also said they were prepared to pay an extra penny of income tax towards helping servicemen and women who were experiencing difficulties after returing home from duty.
The Ministry of Defence responded in a statement saying: "We are not complacent, and continue to work hard across government to ensure that our Forces receive the best possible support and appreciation."
Earlier I spoke to Andy McNab who's new book is a biography of his SAS troop. I asked him what inspired him to take action.
