- To analyse the role and importance of Martin Luther King in that movement
Learning Outcomes

- The ways in which Black people suffered discrimination in the USA in the 1950s and 1960s
- The types of protest used by the Civil Rights movement
- Why those methods were comparatively successful
- Why ending discrimination legally is not the same as ending discrimination in practice
