The latest game to put drifting squarely at the centre of the action is this highly professional and exhilarating racer from the good people at Shockwave. And this time we're off to the 24th Century.
The title's not just for show. You're actively encouraged to drift around the numerous sweeping curves because this fills up your all-important nitro bar, the contents of which can be converted into blisteringly fast turbo speed.
You're racing against a handful of opposition cars in a variety of weather conditions, but the real enemy here is gravity. Since this is The Future, roads twist high above the cities, travel through green hoops and don't bother with anything as old-fashioned as crash barriers. Look out below!
The game stays fresh by adding a new track every day and you can access all previous tracks from one of the many, many initial menu screens.
Controls:
The arrow keys, plus Z to start drifting and A to use your nitro speed.
Tips:
